The Platforms Development & Integration team within Technology _VOIS is a group of experienced and talented developers building applications for IoT, Mobile Private Networks, health, and more to come. We support Vodafone Business to become a leading provider of high-quality business solutions globally.

As part of the Platforms Development & Integration team, we are looking for an experienced Frontend developer with previous experience in backend development or the willingness to learn. You will work within a multi-disciplinary Agile team, everyday learning something new from your peers, with space to perform your own proof-of-concepts to learn new technologies, as well as collaborating in new opportunities with companies with local impact.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Develop web applications includes user interfaces and reusable components ensuring efficient application state management and performance using React and NestJS.
• Integrate the UI with the Backend-for-Frontent (BfF) using Nodejs and creating APIs with GraphQL.
• Integrate and Test with AWS API Gateway, Queues, Lambdas, Elasticache, AWS Cognito and SNS.
• Optimise performance, reusability, and scalability of applications.
• Collaborate with the team reviewing code, identifying improvements and best practices, sharing your knowledge and mentoring junior colleagues.
• Cooperate with UX designers, Scrum Master, Product Owners, Testers, Infrastructure engineers and other developers who are part of the Agile team.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• BSc or MSc level degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications
• Proven experience in modern software development & deployment
• You are passionate about software development, technology, and are excited by the idea that your work will have a global impact.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• You communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

4+ years of experience in frontend development with React
• Experience of React & JavaScript (ES6+, TypeScript) libraries, patterns and principles (custom hooks, HOCs...).
• State management with Redux and/or Redux Toolkit.
• Experience writing & executing with Test frameworks - Jest and React Testing Library.
• Experience translating designs and wireframes into flexible and reusable code with Figma or similar tools.
• Knowledge of integration with RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a plus).
• Proven software development experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes/Docker, CI/CD tools, GitHub
• Knowledge on integrating with Micro-services and Event Driven architectures

Nice to have
• Dev-Ops CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Python)
• Working with monorepos (NX, Lerna, Turborepo...), Data visualization frameworks (charts, maps, etc...)
• Knowledge on AI and machine learning concepts (e.g. Kendra)
• Knowledge on Web App security (OWASP) & Webservers (e.g. Nginx, Apache)
• Cloud Network architectures - Network design (VPC)
• Working with SQL, Databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and Camunda frameworks
• Developing backend functionality using Java, Bootstrap, Python, databases.
