About this Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO professional to join our EVO Functional Operations team, supporting global Vodafone operating companies. This role focuses on analysing business requirements, designing and implementing end-to-end SAP FICO solutions, and ensuring stable, compliant, and scalable finance processes across complex SAP and non-SAP landscapes. Based in Pune, with flexibility for other India locations, this role offers exposure to large-scale global finance operations and transformation initiatives.

What you will do

• Analyse business and functional requirements across Finance processes and translate them into effective SAP FICO solution designs.
• Design, configure, and support SAP S/4HANA Simple Finance and core FICO modules including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, Treasury, Intercompany Accounting, Budgeting, and Planning.
• Identify integration gaps and data issues across Finance, Supply Chain, and related systems, and develop sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, local market experts, and system integrator partners to resolve incidents, enhancements, and in-scope development issues.
• Provide clear process explanations and transactional information to end users, auditors, and governance teams.
• Contribute to functional design workshops, training materials, and process documentation.
• Own functional deliverables within agreed milestones, escalating risks and issues appropriately within the project structure.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operate effectively within fixed-price delivery models.

Who you are

• A graduate or postgraduate in a technical or business discipline such as Engineering, MBA (Finance), CA, ICWA, or CFA.
• An SAP FICO consultant with 8+ years of hands-on experience in implementation and application operations within complex client environments.
• Confident across SAP Simple Finance and core FICO modules, with exposure to niche areas such as RE-FX, In-House Cash, Travel & Expenses, GRC, or third-party tax tools like Sabrix considered an advantage.
• Comfortable working with global stakeholders, auditors, and cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
• A clear communicator who can simplify complex concepts, document processes, and facilitate workshops.
• Self-directed, analytical, and able to prioritise effectively under time pressure while maintaining delivery quality.
• Experienced in large, global organisations, ideally within telecoms or manufacturing landscapes, with an understanding of ITIL practices.
