About this role

We are seeking a Release Train Engineer to facilitate and guide an Agile Release Train (ART) within Vodafone Business Platforms & Systems, ensuring consistent delivery against commitments while embedding Lean‑Agile ways of working. This role plays a pivotal part in aligning strategy with execution, improving value flow, and enabling collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders within a scaled agile environment.

What you’ll do

Facilitate and optimise the flow of value through the Agile Release Train using tools such as Program Kanban and information radiatorsEstablish and communicate annual calendars for Iterations and Program IncrementsLead PI Planning readiness and facilitate PI Planning events, ensuring alignment to vision, roadmap, and backlogsConsolidate Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish for transparencyTrack execution of features and stories using relevant metricsFacilitate ART synchronisation ceremonies and system‑level meetingsSupport economic decision‑making through feature estimation and roll‑ups to capabilities and epicsCoach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters on Lean‑Agile principles and mindsetsIdentify, manage, escalate, and track risks, dependencies, and impedimentsCollaborate closely with Product, Solution Management, Architecture, and Engineering stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement through Inspect & Adapt workshops and maturity assessmentsEnable DevOps, Release on Demand, Built‑In Quality, and Lean UX practicesEnsure adherence to Lean Budgets and portfolio guardrailsAct as a change advocate for agile ways of working across the release train

Who you are

Experienced in working within a SAFe or scaled agile environment, ideally as a Release Train Engineer or Scrum MasterConfident in facilitating large‑scale planning events and cross‑team alignmentSkilled in coaching teams and leaders on Lean‑Agile practicesExperienced in agile delivery within complex or bi‑modal environmentsFamiliar with Jira, Confluence, and agile delivery toolingHolds a recognised agile certification, preferably SAFe RTEFluent in English7+ years of experience
