About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Radio Access Network Operations Technician to join the India NOC team and provide first-line operational support across radio and transmission networks. This role is responsible for 24x7 network monitoring, incident detection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, escalation and service restoration activities to maintain high network availability and service performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely response to network events, effective coordination with internal teams and external partners, and adherence to agreed service levels and operational standards.

What you’ll do

•Perform Network Operations Centre (NOC) shift activities and execute all defined operational routines.
•Monitor network alarms and events proactively to identify service-affecting issues.
•Perform alarm and event correlation to detect and register incidents accurately.
•Manage the complete incident lifecycle from detection through to resolution and closure.
•Analyse, diagnose and troubleshoot network faults using remote tools and interfaces.
•Execute remote recovery actions through command handling and equivalent operational systems.
•Coordinate incident handling activities to support rapid service restoration.
•Escalate incidents appropriately when resolution cannot be achieved within first-line support scope.
•Dispatch incidents to engineering teams, suppliers and external partners in line with operational procedures.
•Monitor and follow up on active incidents, alarms and outstanding trouble tickets.
•Support field technicians with fault diagnosis and resolution activities.
•Execute incident prioritisation and escalation processes based on impact and severity.
•Manage access request procedures for technical sites and network facilities where required.
•Verify network inventory data consistency and communicate discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
•Support operations and maintenance activities including alarm testing and site intervention support.
•Prepare detailed shift reports and conduct effective shift handovers covering all significant operational events.
•Ensure adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
•Provide support for service desk activities including call handling, email communications and ticket management.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or a related discipline.
  • 5-8 years of experience in telecommunications operations or a similar network support function.
  • Strong understanding of GSM, UMTS, LTE and 5G technologies.
  • Knowledge of radio network equipment including RBS, BSC and RNC platforms.
  • Understanding of packet network environments including SGSN technologies.
  • Knowledge of transmission technologies including PDH, SDH, Metro Ethernet and IP networks.
  • Experience working within an ITIL Incident Management framework.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Capable of working effectively under pressure and during critical network incidents.
  • Experience working with technical IT applications and operational support systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and external partners.
  • Comfortable working in a 24x7 shift-based operational environment.
  • Professional written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge to support operational automation initiatives.
  • Demonstrates customer focus, innovation, accountability, collaboration, simplicity, trust and speed in delivering outcomes.
