About this Role
The Project Manager within GDC Infra Delivery will be responsible for planning and delivering cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions aligned with global standards and overall IT strategy. This role ensures that solutions are supportable, operable, and scalable to meet business growth. The individual will work closely with GDC Delivery teams during project development stages to provide guidance and support for successful delivery.
Who are you
You are an experienced professional with a strong background in IT delivery management and infrastructure implementation. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing complex projects in an international and distributed environment.
What you’ll do
- Manage allocated workload within the Project Delivery and Build team, ensuring accurate and up-to-date project information in tracking tools.
- Initiate and deliver projects in line with Project Delivery Management guidelines, meeting agreed timelines and customer expectations.
- Provide technical implementation management for nominated projects in GDC Data Centres, including planning and coordinating installation of servers, storage, LAN, security components, and middleware systems.
- Ensure compliance with configuration management, change control processes, and quality standards during implementation.
- Deliver full project management for complex objectives using PRINCE2 framework, including governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Gain Operational Readiness and Acceptance (ORA) approval in collaboration with VT-IS Operations Unit and OPCOs.
- Review and improve internal processes to align with strategic objectives and ensure rollout across GDC teams.
What skills you need
- Strong IT delivery management experience with expertise in infrastructure implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL Service Management practices and IT/Data Centre process standards.
- Well-developed technical knowledge across a broad range of IT topics.
- Proven ability to manage projects using PRINCE2 methodology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Fluency in English.
