Job Description

Your day to day:

This role is part of a team within Technology VOIS Romania PM Department. The Program Manager is a pivotal role in accelerating and steering large Vodafone group functions, cross multiple markets and enteties, assuring delivery against the overarching program objectives, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and mission.

The candidate should have excellent knowledge of project/programme management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid, as well as an ability to work across an ever-transforming environment, actively contributing to the transformation.

The Programme Manager is coordinating the strategic programme at C-level, communicating and collaborating with both customers' IT Directors and as well, involved in day-to-day management of various resources including Project Managers, Deployment Managers, Legal departments, HR etc.

1. Programme Management

  • Set up the governance, strategic & tactical plans, organize and lead all activities as required to successfully achieve Programme goals, projects and associated objectives
  • Control Programme scope and ensure that the deliverables are on time, compliant with assigned budget and the expected level of quality and Governance
  • Monitor programme’s and project’s progress including responsibility for Budget and Finance management and addresses the adjustments needed for successful completion for given scope on time and within budget.
  • Algin with the relevant entities on the status of new and running programmes and projects.

2. Communication and Reporting Management

  • Manage customer’s expectations and build-up and maintain an effective communication flow with them and IT Delivery partners within Programme scope.
  • Co-ordinate economic evaluation/feasibility for managed programmes, sponsoring it to the approval board
  • Collect all the information needed, ensuring a complete alignment on programme’s status and next steps among all involved stakeholders
  • Ensure that all Programme information is appropriately documented and secured
  • Update all documentation related to Programme’s activities providing Senior Management with all information needed.
  • Maintain overview project status for projects of the entity

3. Quality Management

  • Determine programme KPIs upon which the deliverables will be evaluated at its completion
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the Programme’s team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the desired quality SLAs.

4. Risk & Issue Management

  • Resolving cross-program issues and strategic issues with senior stakeholders.
  • Identify all the risks and issues impacting programmes’ results by effective Risk planning and mitigation.
  • Prepare contingency plans, escalating adequately risks and issues through correct channels.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • 8-10+ years experience in leading IT Projects or relevant service delivery management experience
  • Waterfall and Agile Project & Programme Management certifications (or relevant experience): MSP / PRINCE2 / PMP / SAFe / Agile PM / Scrum Master / Kanban etc.
  • 3 years’ experience in Programme Management role or similar exposure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with customers and internal teams to deliver results
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management practices
  • Ability to work across an international and distributed team
  • Fluency in English
  • IT Diploma or experience within an IT environment (at overview/understanding level).
