As the leader of wholesale roaming trading for Vodafone and our 3rd party customers, you will be accountable for developing commercial roaming strategies that strengthen Vodafone's global leadership and scale. You will lead a team of commercial managers to deliver revenue and margin plans for Vodafone and managed customers, identifying and driving initiatives to optimize the function for future growth.

Your role will involve delivering revenue and margin improvement through competitive wholesale roaming agreements, ensuring effective working relationships with Vodafone functions, and driving a best-in-class experience for our customers. You will create a growth and customer-focused mindset within the team.

You will develop and drive the delivery of the wholesale roaming trading strategy, including commercial, operational, customer, and people dimensions. You will optimize margin for Vodafone markets, partners, and customers through effective commercial strategies and negotiations, enabling new revenue and margin opportunities through new business models. You will manage the contractual process and policies to ensure Vodafone provides world-class quality to end customers, compliance with company purpose and policy, and avoid commercial leakage. Additionally, you will define and monitor a common set of KPIs, leveraging insights to address short-term performance gaps and pursue long-term opportunities.

Who you are

  • Experience in roaming wholesale trading: Extensive experience in the roaming wholesale trading industry, with a track record of successful negotiations and commercial agreements.
  • Leadership skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Skilled in managing and developing talent, providing guidance, and creating growth opportunities for team members.
  • Commercial acumen: Deep understanding of commercial principles and practices, with the ability to develop and execute effective strategies.
  • Negotiation skills: Exceptional ability to negotiate favorable terms and conditions, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Commercial analysis: Proficient in analyzing market trends, financial data, and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Communication skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Stakeholder management skills: Adept at building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making, and driving alignment.
  • Growth and customer-focused mindset: Committed to continuous improvement and innovation, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Languages: Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of additional languages is an asset and can enhance communication with international partners and clients.
