Job Title: Pre-Sales Solutions Specialist
Location: Location Independent Worker (LIW)
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

As a Location Independent Worker, for operational reasons you may be required to perform your duties, either temporarily or permanently, from any of Vodafone’s UK offices or customer sites within a reasonable geographic area of your home address. What will you be doing?
In this customer facing role you will be responsible for engaging customer organisations to determine the technology solution required to provide market-leading service to that customer.
Working with global clients who are UK-centric as part of the Solution Design organisation in Vodafone UK, you will typically own opportunities worth up to £10M Total Contract Value. The nature, criticality and scale of some of these opportunities will allow you to influence and ‘change the way Britain works’.
You will support both private sector and public sector clients and are therefore will be exposed to procurement frameworks and processes associated with both. You will respond to requests for new technology or technology-derived solutions from the customer but will also be accountable for shaping the proposition to create new opportunities to sell Vodafone solutions.
This role provides a first step in a consulting career and will provide the ideal next step for someone who has a curiosity about how telecommunications can help solve business problems. It will allow you to move your career to a more proactive role when dealing with our customers.
Who You Are
- We are looking for an individual with some previous experience of telecommunication services and how they are priced
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write and present in a clear and concise manner
- A good technical understanding of one or more telecommunications services such as – Local and Wide Area Networks, Unified Communications, Internet of Things and Cloud. You should understand how these services provide customer business benefits.
- A desire to move closer to customers and consult with them over how we can help their business
- A team player willing to support and work with others
