Role Purpose/Business Unit:

  • The Strategic Partnerships team manages our engagement with key Hyperscalers, DFI’s , FinServ’s, Industry bodies, Start-ups and Technology vendors. You will be involved in building out an exciting new vertical within the Strategic Partnerships Team, primarily focussing generating and activating new opportunities to access new technology, business models, companies and innovative collaborations that support our business. Our goal is to bring a focused approach to complex engagements and ensure our strategy and joint business goals are well aligned
  • The objective is make Vodacom the preferred partner of choice

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive select Partner relationship for Group
  • To work with different parts of the business to deliver ideas, products and services (This would involve working on documentation, providing inputs and evaluation for financial business cases, support of agreements, working with business units to teams to define customer journeys and propositions )
  • Developing joint marketing strategies and co-branded initiatives and Monitoring partnership performance using data-driven insights
  • Be on top of industry trends to identify new collaboration opportunities
  • Identify and engage potential partners, fostering long-term relationships & negotiate partnership agreements; Resolving conflicts and ensuring smooth collaboration

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A relevant 3 year degree or tertiary qualification equivalent to at least a 3 year technical or commercial degree with marketing and/or product development relevance essential.
  • Should have worked in a TechCo environment for at least 12 years , with a strong technology background
  • Account / Partner management and Business development experience
  • Aware of and dealing with DFIs and Start up’s will be an added advantage

  • Self-starter. Proactive, with strong personal drive
  • Stakeholder management and Ability to influence and work with cross functional teams
  • Excellent presentation and analytical skills
  • Creative with the ability to view a problem from different angles
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
