About this Role

We are seeking an experienced OSS Technical Delivery Lead to manage the end-to-end technical delivery of complex OSS domain initiatives with high business criticality. This role sits within Network Strategy & Engineering (NSE) and focuses on delivering OSS transformation, integration and network enablement projects aligned to UK Networks strategy. The individual will ensure delivery to agreed scope, time, cost and quality standards, while managing cross-functional teams, suppliers and third parties across multiple technical domains.

What you will do

  • Lead day-to-day technical delivery of OSS projects involving network rollouts, system integrations, new product enablement and business transformation.
  • Deliver projects in line with agreed UK Networks capex and opex forecasts, typically ranging between £250k and £1m, within defined tolerance levels.
  • Manage high-complexity demands with cross-system, cross-domain and cross-supplier dependencies, ensuring risks and issues are proactively identified and mitigated.
  • Coordinate front-door management of new OSS demand, working closely with architecture teams and internal domain specialists to perform impact assessments and prioritise work stacks.
  • Align delivery with release management plans and holistic OSS resource planning in collaboration with team managers and key suppliers.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and third parties, balancing customer needs with long-term network strategy.
  • Lead virtual, geographically distributed technical and business change teams, fostering collaboration, trust and shared accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance through strong commercial awareness and structured delivery governance.
  • Ensure adherence to defined delivery methodologies, governance frameworks and quality standards to enable realisation of business case benefits.

Who you are

  • You bring 7+ years of experience in technical project or delivery management within a telecoms or network environment.
  • You have strong OSS domain knowledge, with a solid understanding of EMS/NMS platforms and mobile and fixed network technologies.
  • You are comfortable operating within large, complex corporate environments with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • You can translate between technical and business teams, enabling shared understanding and effective decision-making.
  • You demonstrate inclusive leadership, motivating and guiding cross-functional teams to achieve shared outcomes.
  • You have strong stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • You are proficient in project and demand management tools such as Azure DevOps, PEGA and JIRA, and are confident using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
  • You have experience with DevOps ways of working and robust risk management techniques.
  • You are comfortable working across cultures and time zones.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Telecoms or Computer Science, with vendor or professional certifications such as AWS, PMP, PRINCE2 or ITIL being desirable.
