What you’ll do

• Develop Optical Transport network plans and strategy for Fiber, Core and Access IP Transport, Fixed Services and Optical Transport customers. (New or upgrades). Prepare Topology documentation. Define Optical Transport Product catalogue.• Design and modify Optical Transport network topology and dimension network elements (e.g. DWDM) and their NMS (Plan/optimize DCN and Synchronization) in coordination with IP Access and core Planning.• Plan and optimize Client Services on Optical Transport Network; provide capacity and redundancy for bandwidth demands forecasted and emergency service modifications due to interruptions.• Define and set out key performance criteria and service levels in Optical Transport network. Audit Optical Transport Operations and Rollout activities, Open RFC's, attend CAB if necessary and ensure successful implementation of plans.• Develop plans/projects to decrease operational costs within Optical Transport network. Deliver the HLD and LLD plan documents to rollout and provide support to rollout during installation and commissioning. Control handover of Network elements to Optical Transport operations.• Perform cost-benefit analysis for Optical Transport projects. And provide Optical Transport costs of multi domain technology projects.• Define technology and methodology to be used in Optical Transport network, in line with IP Core and Access transport plans; (i.e., Redundancy, capacity, interworking.)• Support Budget analysis for cost optimization and saving opportunities• Develop and implement Optical transport strategies for future-proof and optimized DWDM fiber network in order to support 5G and beyond capacity needs. Apply the defined global strategies of Vodafone Group Technology.• Develop and Optimize Fixed and Mobile convergent Optical Transport network strategies; develop and prepare the plans of the AI controlled (SDN) multi-vendor & multi domain transport network management infrastructure.• Support feasibility analysis for new Fiber projects of Vodafone and prepare High level and Low-level active equipment of Optical Transport network plans for fiber expansion projects.

Who you are

• Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications Engineering/Computer Engineering/ BSc; MSc/MBA degree preferred.• Effective presentation skills and public speaking skills required.• Have an excellent command of English is must.• Familiarity with telecommunications service protocol structure and testing• Min 3 years of experience in Optical Transport (DWDM) and knowledge of fibre optic technology and passive networks.
