The Operational Readiness Architect is part of the IT Operations Engineering department and has the role of technical expert in the delivery process of projects to external clients in the production environment, ensuring the implementation of operational processes.
What you’ll do
IT Requirements and Trends Analysis:
• Analyzes and responds to clients' business requirements in order to build, adapt and harmonize IT solutions
• Analyzes the specific technologies of the communications industry, global IT development trends, global IT systems development methodologies, market requirements as well as its development trends, proposes an IT solution in accordance with the business need, budget and available time requested by external clients
• Validates the proposed architectural solutions for the development of IT systems from an operational point of view
IT Solution Design:
• Designs forward-looking and reusable information technology solutions for end clients from an operational point of view
• Ensures that the IT solutions proposed in response to client requests meet the operational requirements for delivery into production;
• Validates, together with the other IT system designers, the differences between the detailed architecture of the proposed IT solution and the architecture from an operational point of view and proposes solutions to align and harmonize them.
Contribution to IT strategies:
• Maintains the strategy and development of the systems in the client portfolio, in accordance with the long-term development plan of the IT department with the objective of implementing operational requirements (functional and non-functional).
Other responsibilities:
• Identifies risks that may arise in the use of current technical platforms and makes proactive proposals for improving technical platforms and systems, which will bring a strategic benefit to the client
• Coordinates analysts and system engineers within projects and reviews and validates the detailed technical requirements proposed by them to ensure the compatibility of the requirements with the designed and proposed IT solution
• At the request of the hierarchical superior, performs other tasks that are directly related to the main responsibilities detailed above
• Participates in all mandatory internal courses, communicated by the Employer and in all professional training programs/courses established and communicated by the Employer
• Establishes, together with the direct manager, individual and/or group objectives, both professional and personal development, and inserts them into the Employer's specific online system.
Who you are
• Good understanding of the telecommunications industry
• Good knowledge of databases and information systems
• Good understanding of the life cycle of an IT product (hardware, software, databases, applications, licenses) and its development
• Good knowledge of project management
• Experience in integrated information systems
• 4 years of experience in the field of Information Technology
• Solid knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Preferably 1 year of experience in roles similar to that of a software system engineer
• Abstract, conceptual, innovative thinking, forward-thinking
• Good communication skills
• Ability to make decisions and influence the decision-making process
• Negotiation and coordination skills
• Processes: measurement and control skills, planning, process management, able to make quick decisions, quality control, knowledge of Telco BSS architecture, programming and project management.
• Team: teamwork skills, timely and concise information
• Personal profile: able to set priorities, problem-solving orientation, negotiation skills, follow-up of deadlines, presentation skills
• Other: English language, written and verbal communication
