Planning, Design, build and support advanced Central Platform infrastructure and networks, used for 2G, 3G, 4G Roaming offering Products & Services to Vodafone’s customers internationally.

Main focus and activities will be on the Signalling infrastructure. Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Planning, design, delivery and testing of new networks, platforms, and services to provide international Mobile Roaming
  • Platform Engineering and in-life management of existing Central Voice Platforms and Service, such as Signalling Transfer Point (STP) for 2G and 3G Mobile Roaming, Diameter Routing Servers (DRS) for 4G Mobile Roaming,
    Signalling Firewalls
  • Network Architecture Design, Capacity Management, Engineering and Delivery of 2G/3G/4G Networks for Mobile Roaming
  • Vendor management during new product development and in-life management
  • Architectural evolution: proposals definition related to Sigtran and Diameter Signalling for Mobile Roaming Networks and Services, including Signalling Firewalls.

Role Purpose

What you bring

  • Deep engineering knowledge of Mobile Roaming, and strong experience in design and management of 2G/3G and/or 4G Roaming platforms and services (5+ years)
  • Proven capacity and release management experience, including planning, delivery, and reporting
  • Knowledge of multi-national matrix organisations, telecom infrastructure, processes, and strong experience working in cross-functional virtual teams
  • Very good communication skills (verbal and written); ability to manage multiple stakeholders during business-critical projects
  • Familiarity with operational processes


Must Have:

  • Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications Engineering
  • Advanced level of English, and international exposure.
