Job Description

Your day to day:

Within VBIT organisation, the Release Train Engineer (RTE) is responsible facilitating and guiding the work of the Agile Release Train (ART) and ensuring that the ART delivers on its commitments.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • Providing input and expertise to planning documents where required including but not limited to ELJ, Solution Context etc.
  • Attending Planning meetings e.g. Portfolio Planning sessions as required to provide expertise
  • Accountable for the end to end delivery of all Features assigned into the release train – covering budget management, technology and business deliverables
  • Accountable for ensuring all agile ceremonies (stand-up’s, retrospectives etc..) are strictly adhered to by the Release Train Team
  • Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement within the release train
  • Key advocate and change agent for driving the agile ways of working ethos

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • Strong experience working within a SAFe/agile environment, preferably as a RTE or SM
  • Experience facilitating large planning events (PI) by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, Backlogs
  • Experience of coaching leaders, teams and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mind-sets
  • Strong experience in agile project management including bi-model environments
  • Certified SAFe or other industry recognised agile certifications (Preferably SAFe RTE)
  • Experience working in a scaled agile framework
  • Jira and confluence
