About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Operations Specialist with strong expertise in scheduling tools, ETL operations, and database management. The role involves managing complex data workflows, ensuring operational stability, and supporting cloud migration initiatives. You will work on critical systems, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high service standards.

What you will do

  • Manage and monitor scheduling tools such as Control-M and Job Scheduler.
  • Perform L2 and L3 operations for ETL tools including Ab Initio, SAP BODS, and Informatica.
  • Execute UNIX/Linux commands and develop shell scripts for automation.
  • Handle PLSQL and SQL operations for data processing and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and optimise data warehouse processes and ETL workflows.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve broken jobs and errors effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and maintain error logs.
  • Provide on-call and weekend support for critical operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for smooth operations and timely issue resolution.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in development and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling tools (Control-M, Job Scheduler) and ETL operations.
  • Proficient in UNIX/Linux shell scripting and SQL/PLSQL.
  • Good understanding of data warehouse concepts and ITIL processes.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and cloud platforms (GCP, OCI).
  • Certifications in GCP and OCI are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritisation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and provide on-call support.
