About this Role
The Public Cloud DevOps Engineer plays a key role in developing, implementing, and operating 24x7 cloud infrastructure services, primarily on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role supports mission‑critical platforms for internal customers across Europe. The individual will design, implement, and optimise cloud solutions, modernise legacy environments, and provide level two and level three operational support. A continuous focus on automation, cloud transformation, and operational excellence is essential.

You are an individual with strong expertise in cloud technologies, especially OCI. You bring hands-on experience in automation, scripting, infrastructure design, troubleshooting, and DevOps methodologies. You are committed to delivering reliable services, ensuring cloud stability, and supporting a collaborative, learning‑oriented environment. You follow inclusive, structured, and methodical approaches to problem‑solving and knowledge sharing.
What you’ll do
Manage project‑driven integrations and daily administration across cloud solutions.Develop prototypes and cloud modules through agile, iterative cycles to deliver measurable business outcomes.Conduct peer reviews and uphold coding standards across teams.Drive automation and integration activities for OCI, including tenant workloads.Build and deploy OCI infrastructure using Terraform, with Ansible and Python for routine operational tasks such as user management and security hardening.Provide technical consultancy for migrating and transforming on‑premises applications to cloud environments.Design and implement network connectivity between OCI, data centres, and other cloud service providers.Enable cloud expertise development within the organisation through structured knowledge sharing.Troubleshoot issues across cloud networking, storage, and performance.Strengthen and support the adoption of DevOps culture and associated practices.
What skills you need
Strong technical expertise across Cloud Technology, Network, Security and Platform domains (especially OCI).Experience with OCI services including Compute, Networking, IAM, Network Security and multi‑tenant architectures.Hands-on experience with OCI serverless and Exadata environments.Proficiency in automation tools and scripting such as Ansible, Python, and Shell Scripting.Experience with DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and HashiCorp tools (Terraform, Packer).Understanding of ITIL, SOX, security regulations, and agile methodologies.Background in web applications and web hosting.Experience managing highly critical enterprise environments.OCI Architect/Operations certifications (preferred).Degree in Information Technology (or related field) with at least three years of cloud computing experience, or five years of enterprise IT experience.Effective communication and documentation abilities.Telecom industry knowledge (preferred).
