Role Purpose

  • Provide DBA implementation and support for Oracle migrations and upgrades, including environments using Oracle Dataguard.
  • Provide support for Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control and Agents.
  • implementation and support for high availability solutions using Oracle Data Guard, Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Streams, Oracle Advanced Replication and specific network storage and clustering solutions.
  • Installation, upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, backup and recovery, schema management, SQL tuning, proactive monitoring and troubleshooting Oracle databases in a 7x24 environment.
  • Provided Oracle RAC consulting and engineering to internal organizations for planned implementations and migrations. Consulting included designing backup solutions (using RMAN),
  • disaster recovery plans, and performance tuning advice for RAC implementations.
  • DBA skills covering 11g, 12c, 18c and 19c on LINUX platforms
  • Experience with Exadata QFSDP implementation is critical in this environment.
  • Minimum 8 year of experience in tuning expertise.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Extensive knowledge to perform software installations, upgrades, migrations and apply patches
  • Extensive hands on expertise on Oracle databases (RAC and non-RAC), Oracle Cluster ware, Oracle Data guard, Golden gate and ASM
  • Strong skills, hands-on and knowledge in installation, configuration and management of Oracle databases (RAC and non-RAC) and Oracle Data guard on Linux, UNIX systems.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in installation, configuration and management of Oracle Cluster ware on Linux, and UNIX systems.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in database migration.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge in Oracle Cluster ware and database upgrades and patching (RAC and non-RAC)
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge in setting up and testing RMAN backups (including restores).
  • Hands-on experience in installing and configuring monitoring tools such as OEM agents. Candidate must have hands-on experience and knowledge to configure database, listener, cluster, and ASM targets in OEM.
  • Experience in disaster recovery solutions and testing.
  • Database performance tuning, and capacity planning experience.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the ITIL process
