IMS&IN Services CF & NOKIA East Engineer

Job Description

Your day to Day

You will design specific SW requirements, implement, test and deploy SW and HW solutions for IMS&IN Services – CF & NOKIA information systems (SCP, SMP, NGIN, MVPN) to cope with specific commercial requirements for external clients (Vodafone Romania and other European Vodafone Markets) or technology evolution inside the Group Network Engineering & Delivery.

You will write SW development requirements specifications, design SW integration plans with other client’s information systems and perform SW testing for the required products and solutions for the IMS&IN Services – CF & NOKIA information systems.

You will manage IMS&IN Services – CF & NOKIA information systems technology evolution and capacity planning based on traffic needs. Ensure HW and SW performance monitoring and reporting, using dedicated SW tools

•SW customization and adaptation to interconnect with Vodafone Network and existing information systems

•You will test various SW releases until the final acceptance & certification of the solution is reached

•You will deploy customized SW in the client’s live environment

•Performance optimization: investigate and report IMS&IN Services information systems SW design issues to the vendors to be corrected in a new SW release, indicating also the technical specifications for the required change, as the case may be

•You will execute troubleshooting activities for incidents related to the IMS&IN Services information systems SW solutions and write the technical specifications for the necessary SW changes

•For IMS&IN Services information systems perform: architecture definition, dimensioning, integration, testing and acceptance

With these skills you are a great candidate:

•You have knowledge and experience of certain information systems mainly around the IMS&IN Services – CF & NOKIA like: SCP, SMPNGIN, MVPN, etc

•You have a good understanding of the SW lifecycle: design, development, testing and acceptance, implementation, performance optimization and troubleshooting

•You have knowledge of certain technologies (IN Architectures, IMS networks, CAMEL signalling, IP connectivity, SS7 signalling, service layers architectures and protocols, etc.)

•University degree in computer science, telecommunications or equivalent

•Good awareness of wider technology aspects in telecommunications (Core Network, Value Added Services, IN Services) and ICT

•Inter-functional relationships between information systems
