Group Compliance Business Partner

Your role in a nutshell:

The Group Compliance Business Partner plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization against material risks while operating a in a regulated, central oversight and local implementation matrix environment. This position requires a proactive partner who collaborates with Vodafone Markets around the world, navigating diverse cultures and regulatory landscapes. The role involves influencing senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with Group objectives and fostering a strong culture of compliance and implementing key financial crime controls for Vodafone Group Services Limited and Vodafone Business.

The Group Compliance Business Partner will ensure robust defence against material threats to the Group, strengthen regulatory compliance, and uphold the organizations reputation. This role is instrumental in fostering a One Compliance culture while respecting local nuances, enabling the Group to achieve its business objectives in a sustainable and ethical manner.

What will you do in your role:

• Strategic Partnership – Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, supporting Local Markets in embedding effective compliance frameworks, and embedding integrity into daily operations.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigations – conduct a comprehensive Risk Assessments against Group Material Risks and collaborate with local compliance teams to develop and implement risk mitigations strategies tailored to diverse regulatory environments.
• Policy and Compliance Management System – Drive the implementation of Group wide policies and ensure their adaptation to meet local regulatory requirements.
• Third party risk management – Provide guidance and subject matter expert advice in relation to third party financial crime risks.
• Cross-Market collaboration – Act as a bridge between the Group and Markets, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices to build consistent compliance capabilities across jurisdictions, addressing cultural nuances and regulatory challenges to create cohesive compliance strategies.
• Training and Capacity Building – Develop and deliver tailored training to enhance compliance capabilities and promote a culture of compliance and awareness of at all organisational levels.
• Regulatory Reporting – Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies in line with Group requirements.
• Continuous Improvement and Innovation – Stay abreast of evolving threats, regulations, and technological advancements. Supporting initiatives to integrate innovative compliance solutions, such as monitoring tools.

What you will bring to the team:

• Subject Matter Knowledge (needed): general understanding of ABC, Sanctions, and Trade Controls. Familiarity with regulatory expectations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Leadership and Influence (needed): Stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align senior leaders. Strong interpersonal skills to navigate cultural nuances and build trust across markets.
• Analytical and Strategic Thinking (needed): Ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and design effective solutions. Strategic mindset with a focus on long-term compliance resilience.
• Communication (needed): Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
