What you’ll do

Role purpose:


A dynamic, highly skilled and accountable individual that manages the day-to-day foundation programmes and operations, balancing strategy with execution. Will promote smooth coordination across teams, effective and impactful delivery, and strong internal processes. Will oversee the project management team, financial processes, monitoring and evaluation activities, as well as partnerships and grants, ensuring compliance with foundation policies and standards, and effective risk assessment and mitigation. Should serve as the liaison with implementing partners and company’s shared services. Produces and consolidates reports, contributing to learning and communications.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Programmes: oversee implementation and monitoring of all programmes, ensuring coordination with partners, as well as alignment with foundation strategy;
  • Operations: oversee financial and operational processes, acting as the primary point of contact on all operational matters;
  • Team: supervise the foundation team, setting priorities, coordinating workload, providing technical guidance and supporting professional development;
  • Governance and compliance: ensure safeguarding, risk management, and reporting standards are met; maintain policies and risk register, prepare documentation for Board meetings, and support audits and evaluations;
  • Deputy functions: represent the Executive Director when required, both internally and externally;
  • Number and impact of beneficiaries reached through Foundation programs;
  • Stakeholder satisfaction (internal and external);
  • Governance and compliance audit outcomes.

What we are looking in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Business, Development Studies, Sustainability, or related fields;
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or equivalent experience;
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written);
  • High digital literacy and data-driven mindset;
  • 5+ years in development projects, social investment, or CSR, in management roles;
  • Able to balance detail-oriented operations with big-picture programme strategy and delivery;
  • End-to-end program management, budget oversight and risk management capabilities;
  • Skilled in people leadership and partnerships management, with a proactive, results-oriented and decision-making mindset;
  • Deep understanding of Mozambique’s socio-economic landscape and development priorities.
