Job Role:

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and manage scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support various application and data workloads.
• Implement and manage IAM policies, roles, and permissions to ensure secure access across GCP services.
• Build and optimize workflows using Cloud Composer (Airflow) and manage data processing pipelines via Dataproc.
• Provision and maintain Compute Engine VMs and integrate them into broader system architectures.
• Set up and query data in BigQuery, and manage data flows securely and efficiently.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Argo CD, Jenkins, or GitOps methodologies.
• Administer Kubernetes clusters (GKE) including node scaling, workload deployments, and Helm chart management.
• Create and maintain YAML files for defining infrastructure as a code.
• Monitor system health and performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and GCP’s native monitoring stack.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure best practices and support application delivery.
• Document infrastructure standards, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Experience
Must-Have:
• At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with IAM, Cloud Composer, Dataproc, Compute VMs, BigQuery, and networking on GCP.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes cluster administration (GKE preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Argo CD, Jenkins, or GitOps workflows.
• Experience in writing and managing Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring).
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code, and container orchestration.
Good to Have:
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with data workflows, data engineering pipelines, or ML orchestration on GCP.
• Exposure to GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, or other CI/CD tools.
• Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and secrets management tools (Vault, Secret Manager).
