Role Purpose:


The Data & Analytics Engineer role focuses on creating engineering & analytics according to data scope for our home product portfolio, serving millions of homes across Europe. As a key member of our data team, you will be responsible for implementing reporting pipelines and integrating them with cross-product analytics to inform strategic decision-making processes. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with large and complex datasets, develop innovative analytics solutions using industry best analytics services and practices and contribute to the success of our products in the market.

Also, to design, build, and maintain scalable, end-to-end data engineering and analytics solutions that deliver actionable insights, support strategic decision making, and drive continuous improvement across Vodafone’s Home Technology and Products portfolio.

As the candidate gains knowledge and experience, the position will evolve into an end-to-end analytics architect role, where you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing comprehensive analytics solutions across the organization.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-based ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP BigQuery and AWS services to ingest, transform, and optimize large-scale data sets.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into high-quality dashboards and reports using Tableau or Power BI.
• Establish and enforce automated data validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve data quality and process issues, implementing root cause analyses and corrective actions to minimize disruption.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture by recommending best practices, reusable patterns, and scalable solutions.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and hands on experience with GCP BigQuery and AWS cloud data platforms.
• Proven ability to design and implement ETL/ELT workflows using modern data integration tools.
• Expertise in data visualization with Tableau or Power BI, transforming complex data into intuitive insights.
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within agile, cross-functional teams.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject (e.g., computer science, mathematics, engineering) (Must be Computer science or engineering graduate )
• 2-4 years' experience as a Data Analyst & Engineer
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (GCP BigQuery, AWS Cloud tools ), ETL/ELT tools, and BI visualization software(Tableau is must).
• Hands on experience with all aspects of software development including gathering requirements, analysis, design, dimension building, data loading, optimization and front end development
• Solid understanding of Management reporting requirements, cross functional KPIs and regulatory reports
