About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant – Endpoint Security to provide technical ownership and governance for enterprise Antivirus (AV) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) services in Pune.
The role will own AV/EDR service lifecycle activities, including endpoint onboarding, security policy governance, platform roadmaps, upgrades, security patching, operational assurance and continuous improvement. You will also support major incidents, validate root cause analysis (RCA), mitigate platform and operational risks, and transition new security capabilities into business-as-usual operations.
You will collaborate with vendors, stakeholders and operations teams across Windows, Linux, UNIX and network-integrated environments. This is a niche cyber security role requiring 5+ years of enterprise AV/EDR experience, including experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Trend Micro or comparable enterprise platforms.

What you’ll do

Own enterprise AV/EDR platforms throughout their service lifecycle, including roadmaps, operational readiness, complex changes, platform upgrades, security patching and console/client version management.
Define, maintain and review security policies, governing configuration, deployment, tuning and redistribution in line with security standards, risk requirements and operational needs.
Lead endpoint onboarding across Windows, Linux, UNIX, database and network device environments, including integration with SIEM, monitoring and automation platforms.
Transition new endpoint security capabilities into BAU operations with appropriate documentation and operational handovers.
Support major incidents and complex technical investigations, validate RCA, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Identify service gaps, platform risks and operational vulnerabilities, recommending mitigation aligned with security architecture standards.
Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders and operations teams on technical escalations, service demand, improvements and governance reviews.
Maintain service documentation, operational procedures, compliance evidence and security governance records.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience working with enterprise AV/EDR platforms such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Trend Micro or comparable technologies.
You have sound knowledge of cyber security alongside Windows, Linux, UNIX and network fundamentals.
You have practical experience with endpoint onboarding, policy configuration, deployment, tuning, redistribution governance, monitoring and troubleshooting.
You can manage complex platform changes, upgrades, console and client security patching, and version lifecycle activities.
You have exposure to SIEM, monitoring or automation integrations used for security alert management, visibility and reporting.
You can investigate technical issues, assess risks, validate RCA and translate findings into effective corrective and preventive actions.
You communicate clearly and can coordinate effectively across vendors, stakeholders and multidisciplinary, cross-cultural teams.
You demonstrate customer focus, collaborative problem solving, adaptability, results orientation and cost awareness aligned with Vodafone Way behaviours.
You have experience within IT, service industries, telecommunications, managed security services or enterprise cyber security operations.
You hold a university or college degree.
Industry-recognised certifications and/or proven job training in virtual environments or Microsoft security tracks are required.
Microsoft security certifications, ITIL certification or relevant platform administration certifications are preferred.

Not a perfect fit?

Concerned you may not meet every requirement? Vodafone is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. What's in it for you

Opportunity to take technical ownership of enterprise-scale AV/EDR services across diverse endpoint environments.
Exposure to the full endpoint security service lifecycle, spanning roadmap planning, security policy governance, upgrades, patching, incident response and continuous improvement.
Collaboration with security, operations, vendor and stakeholder teams across a geographically diverse enterprise environment.
Opportunity to influence endpoint security standards, operational readiness, platform risk mitigation and the transition of new security capabilities into BAU.
