Role Purpose

This role would require a combination of technical expertise in networking technologies, strategic thinking, project management skills, and strong leadership and communication abilities.

Key Accountabilities & Decision Ownership

  • Developing strategies and roadmaps for core network infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements.
  • Establishing policies and procedures for the operation, maintenance, and security of core network assets, complying with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Evolving the core network architecture and design to meet scalability, reliability, and performance requirements, considering emerging technologies.
  • Managing vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to data privacy, network security, and service quality.
  • Planning and overseeing changes to the core network environment, including upgrades, expansions, and migrations, to minimize disruptions and maintain service continuity.
  • Collaborating with other departments align core network initiatives with overall business objectives and priorities.
  • Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost optimization, and innovation in core network operations through process enhancements, automation, and adoption of best practices.
  • Reporting on core network projects, and initiatives to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, communicating technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure resources allocation and utilization.
  • Ensure proper handover to operations before project go-live

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor of communication & electronics engineering is a must
  • Masters degree in management/MBA/PMP/Agile certification is preferred
  • Excellent English skills (verbal and written);
  • Knowledge and experience of working in agile frameworks , SAFe, PMP, MSP or Prince2 are preferable
  • High presentation Skills
  • Risk management , political intelligence & negotiation skills
  • High communication & interpersonal skills
