Maintain continuous oversight of contractual clauses, identifying deviations, mitigating risks, and proactively capturing financial gains. This role sits within Finance/ Governance team, with a focus on independent monitoring, control of contractual execution, and protection of the economic value of contracts. It does not carry operational responsibilities for negotiation or supply chain activities

What you’ll do

• Control the end-to-end financial execution of commercial commitments by reconciling purchase orders, accruals, invoices, payments, credits and ledger records against approved financial terms and services delivered;
• Maximise economic value by identifying and validating savings, cost avoidance, rebates, financial credits, recoveries, and leakage-prevention opportunities, ensuring that benefits are captured in the P&L and cash flow;
• Deliver timely financial reporting and forward-looking insights on spend, profitability, cash flow, financial risks and opportunities, and value delivered to support management decisions;
• Value delivered through validated savings, cost avoidance, and financial leakage prevention (€);
• Timeliness, accuracy, and automation level of financial reporting and management insights leading to reduction in spend variances vs. approved financial terms (€);
• Value of spend under active financial monitoring (€).

Who you are

• Degree in Management, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Industrial Engineering and Management:
• Strong analytical skills and value-oriented, commercially-aware mindset;
• Accountability and rigour, with focus on timely and accurate delivery (high attention to detail);
• Proactive profile with focus on continuous improvement and process automation;
• Team player with effective communication and ability to influence non-finance stakeholders;
• Independence of thought and assertiveness;
• Experience in financial control, commercial finance, or business partnering, cost optimization and financial risk management;
• Experience in financial reporting, cost control, and performance analysis, with a strong understanding of OPEX, CAPEX, accruals, cash flow, and business-case economics;
• Ability to challenge financial assumptions, translate complex data into clear business insights, and influence decisions with independence and assertiveness;
• Advanced excel and data-analysis tools;
• Fluent English and Portuguese.
