At Vodafone, we’re not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers – we’re shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, you’re part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world. If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.

What you’ll do

As a Compliance Manager Financial Crime ABC & AML, you will provide subject matter expert advice for anti bribery and AML/CTF. You will provide expert, risk based advice to the business and senior stakeholders, ensuring that financial crime risks are effectively identified, assessed, mitigated, and managed in a way that is both compliant and business enabling.
Operating in a fast paced, complex, multi jurisdictional environment, you will manage multiple workstreams while supporting the continuous enhancement of Vodafone’s Anti Bribery and AML frameworks, controls, and governance.

• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on anti bribery and AML/CTF matters across our markets, including advising senior stakeholders on complex financial crime risks and issues.
• Lead and support anti bribery and AML risk assessments, ensuring risks are identified, documented, and mitigated in line with Vodafone’s risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
• Conduct regulatory horizon scanning, reviewing emerging and evolving anti bribery and AML/CTF regulations, assessing their impact, and translating regulatory requirements into practical, proportionate controls.
• Apply regulatory requirements in practice, supporting the business to understand obligations and embed them into day to day operations and strategic initiatives.
• Review, challenge, and advise on policies, controls, procedures, and frameworks related to anti bribery and AML, driving consistency and continuous improvement across markets.
• Support and oversee third party due diligence, including reviewing contracts and contractual clauses for suppliers, partners, joint ventures, and other third parties to ensure appropriate anti bribery and AML protections are embedded.
• Provide financial crime input into M&A activity, joint ventures, new products, and new market entry, identifying risks and advising on mitigating actions.
• Design and deliver anti bribery and AML training, awareness, and guidance to markets and key stakeholders, strengthening understanding of risks and controls.
• Work closely with Compliance leaders, Policy Champions, and local compliance teams to ensure effective and consistent implementation of anti bribery and AML controls across markets.
• Support and challenge local markets, including local compliance champions, to drive effective remediation, assurance readiness, and sustainable control environments.
• Drive programme effectiveness through continuous improvement.

Who you are

• A recognised subject matter expert in Anti Bribery and AML/CTF, with 8+ years experience in financial crime compliance.
• Strong technical knowledge of key regulatory frameworks, including the UK Bribery Act, FCPA, FATF Guidance, and relevant AML/CTF regulations.
• Proven experience working across multiple jurisdictions, managing differing regulatory requirements and cultural expectations.
• Experienced in conducting and advising on financial crime risk assessments, policy and control design, and programme implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior stakeholders, balancing regulatory expectations with commercial objectives.
• Strong experience reviewing and advising on third party arrangements and contracts, including suppliers, intermediaries, and joint ventures.
• Skilled at managing complex stakeholder landscapes and influencing outcomes
• Confident in delivering training and guidance across markets and functions.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
