About this Role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer specialising in Data Warehouse and ETL support to ensure the reliability, performance, and continuity of business-critical data workflows. This role focuses on supporting daily ETL batch operations using Ab Initio and Teradata Vantage Cloud on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), while enabling seamless deployments and collaborating across cross-functional teams.

What you’ll do

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in daily DWH production ETL jobs based on Ab Initio and Teradata Vantage Cloud on GCP
• Provide deployment support for new and enhanced applications, ensuring smooth releases
• Collaborate with project managers, development, testing, and other stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency
• Maintain and update remedy tickets with accurate incident and service request status
• Provide on-call support for batch operations, including night and weekend coverage
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement within existing processes
• Optimise ETL job performance to enhance system efficiency and reliability
• Contribute to proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives on Google Cloud Platform

Who you are

• An individual with 5+ years of experience in Ab Initio support within data warehousing environments
• Experienced in working with Teradata Vantage and cloud-based data platforms, particularly GCP
• Proficient in SQL and Unix scripting with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Familiar with ITIL processes and service management practices
• Knowledgeable in telecom domain concepts and data workflows
• A collaborative professional who is comfortable working with cross-functional teams
• A graduate or post-graduate in a technical discipline, preferably engineering
