Job Description

As the Mobile Network Architect you will analyse, develop and craft the Voice Core Network Architecture. You will produce Architect Steers and similar artefacts that are both technically effective and have optimal performance, increasing business benefits and customer needs in the most cost efficient way to resolve sophisticated and challenging business requirements.
You will produce integrated High Level Architectures across network components to support major new network architecture, capabilities and services ensuring that sound design, resilience, robustness and customer impact thinking and longer term future requirements have been taken into account.
Providing technology diagnosis, feasibility studies and high level technical implementation strategies for small and large new projects such as Marketing initiatives, bringing together business and customer requirements ensuring complex interdependencies are fully understood so these can be translated into detailed vendor statement of requirements (SOR) for developments in the Voice Network Architecture.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Experienced in the end to end design of major network service implementations.
  • Demonstrable ability to interface and operate in the detailed technical environments with OLO/Partner networks
  • Extensive knowledge of cellular networks and networking principles (UMTS&GSM)
  • Proven track record in production of accurate and complete technical requirements specifications and ensuring clarity and conformance with infrastructure vendors
  • Extensive knowledge of signaling and signaling protocols

  • Understanding of data center solutions including virtualization and cloud technologies
  • Understanding of traffic and switching theory
  • Understanding of Radio theory and principles
  • Understanding of IP/MPLS networks
