Job Description

The Learning Design and Content Lead will advise, lead and coordinate the design and development of high-quality digital and blended learning solutions that meet strategic initiatives, goals and the skills development of our learners. There is also responsibility for managing the content strategy and process, leading and mentoring a team of creative Learning Experience Consultants and L&D Multimedia Digital Designers driving excellence and innovation.

A fundamental element of the role is to ensure that VMO2’s Central L&D learning materials, solutions and experiences are innovative and future focused, effective, and engaging.

The team that you will be leading will be involved with:-

  • Responsible for driving the efficiency and effectiveness of content creation within the L&D team and wider learning community, striving to challenge and champion accordingly.
  • Owns the relationship with 3rd party vendors, with strong stakeholder management, driving maximum value for the business and delivering great learner experiences.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Demonstrable experience of leading an L&D Design and content team and working as part of a leadership team.
  • Experience of developing an enterprise learning content strategy that provides relevant and valuable content to VMO2 employees.
  • Experience of using Design Thinking approaches.
  • Significant proven experience of working with external L&D/Design and content vendors, leading them to within the agreed statement of work and SLAs and identifying key metrics and KPIs.
  • Demonstrable experience of driving value, creative thinking, innovation and excellence across the design and development of learner experiences.
  • Evidence of rolling out design principles.
