Job Description
We have a new opportunity at Virgin Media O2 for a Junior Category Buyer!
This key role within our Procurement team will be responsible for processing purchases up to the value of £500,000 within strict timescales, while ensuring compliance, driving best commercial value, mitigating business risk, improving sustainability impacts and meeting customer expectations.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. The role is fast-paced and involves managing high volume processes, so excellent organisational and prioritisation skills are essential.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:
- Experience of using management information and purchasing systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and processes
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with and influence suppliers and internal stakeholders at the highest level
- Previous experience in a similar role

- The ability to lead and or work within cross-functional and/or virtual teams
- Strong negotiating skills
- Basic contract knowledge
- Strong analytical and desktop skills
