Legal Counsel – 12 Month Contract

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Virgin Media O2 at a pivotal moment in our mobile and fixed network expansion. As Legal Counsel on a fixed term contract, you’ll support the Network Expansion legal team in delivering commercially focused, pragmatic advice that helps keep our business future-ready and enables the rollout of critical connectivity infrastructure across the UK.

Working closely with the Senior Legal Counsel and a wide range of stakeholders, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting major network upgrade and transformation activity. Your work will span commercial contracting and property-related matters connected to telecoms sites, helping to translate legal advice into operational outcomes and ensuring projects move forward efficiently in a fast-moving, regulated environment.

The must haves

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with junior-level commercial experience

• Strong drafting skills with the ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically

• Experience managing multiple workstreams and competing deadlines

• Confidence working in a fast-moving, complex commercial environment

• A collaborative mindset and willingness to get involved and support wider team objectives

The other stuff we are looking for

• Interest in real estate or telecoms-related agreements

• Exposure to mobile network, infrastructure or technology projects

• Curiosity about the TMT sector and its regulatory environment

• Experience working with external counsel
