The new owner Chris has worked at the practice for 4 years and became the practice owner in February 2024. Chris qualified from Middlesex University in 2014 with a 2:1 degree BSc in Veterinary Nursing and has been driving the practice forward providing excellent client care.

We are looking for a veterinary surgeon with a minimum 2 years’ experience, who is confident with surgery and medical skills. You will be confident in consults with clients, comfortable with a caseload made up of routine and more specific procedures.

You will be joining a team of 3 Vets, 3 Nurses, SVN, 2 VCAs and 4 Receptionists. Our practice can offer you the environment, caseload and equipment needed to utilise your skills whilst also giving you plenty of opportunity to develop further, with support for postgraduate qualifications, CPD and training in your areas of interest. We have a high and varied caseload supported by 2 experienced vets who hold certificates in Dentistry, Ultrasound and Soft Tissue Surgery alongside experience in BOAS, orthopaedics and ophthalmology.

The practice is conveniently located on South Aylesford Retail Park, close to the M20 and main bus routes for commuting purposes. Maidstone located in the heart of Kent’s beautiful ‘garden of England’ countryside and is just over an hour from London and plenty of international airports. This makes it the perfect location for enjoying outdoor adventures or city nightlife outside of work and we work hard to ensure all our team maintain a good work/life balance to make the most of this.

This is a part-time role working 2 days per week plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30am -12:30pm). There is scope for hours to increase if the candidate wishes as the practice gets busier.

Chris can offer;

• Competitive salary of £35k (dependent on experience)
• Annual leave 5.6 weeks, increasing to 6.6 weeks after 2 years’ service including Bank Holidays.
• No OOHs
• Paid professional memberships including RCVS, VDS and BVA.
