Job Description

Enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated Vets, we need you at Biggleswade Vets for Pets. Come and join an incredible team, and practice!

About us

You will be joining a supportive experienced team made up of Clinical Lead, Graduate Vet, regular locums assisting, 3 RVNs and 2 SVNs, alongside 5 Receptionists. One of our Vets holds a certificate in ophthalmology.

We offer an air-conditioned and purpose-built practice with state-of-the-art equipment including tonometry, ultrasound, a k laser and digital x-rays. Alternative therapies offered and encouraged including Acupuncture.

The practice benefits from being adjacent to the A1, located just 40 minutes from the historic city of Cambridge and offers easy access to Luton Airport and direct train links into central London.

About you

The successful applicant will have excellent all-round General Practice skills including surgical and medical whilst also enjoying building relationships with patients, clients, and colleagues. We encourage regular CPD, and we are happy to support team members with their individual interests and additional certification.

You will need to be confident with some sole charge responsibility and enjoy the variety provided by clients and colleagues. We see a wide range of surgical cases including occasional orthopaedic cases. The team is split with 50% surgical bias and 50% medical.

We can consider full or part time hours - full time hours would be 39 (10 hours days) and 1 in 4 weekends (Sat 8:30am - 5:00pm & Sun 10:00am - 4:00pm). Part time we can consider 34 hours working 3 days (8:30am - 7:00pm) per week and 1 in 4 weekends or 24 hours working 2 days per week and 1 in 4 weekends. There is no OOH requirement with this role. We can offer flexibility with both rota and working hours, and welcome applications from those seeking either full or part time roles.

We can offer you

  • An attractive salary of up to £70,000 (Dependant on experience/full time equivalent)
