About the Practice

We are a new-build veterinary practice with a fresh brand, modern facilities, and ambitious plans from day one. Our team is professional, supportive, and approachable, with an easy-going nature while maintaining a high standard of patient and client care.

The practice will be led by two highly experienced veterinarians with special interests in surgery and imaging. We are passionate about providing a high level of care and will be offering a varied caseload, including exotic patients, with the aim of managing as much as possible in-house.

Our facilities include:

  • In-house biochemistry and haematology
  • Full urinalysis capabilities
  • In-house cytology
  • Advanced dental equipment
  • Orthopaedic surgical equipment

We will be undertaking a wide range of procedures, including complex soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, joint procedures, fracture repairs, and comprehensive medical workups.

The Role

As an experienced Veterinary Receptionist, you will be a key part of the client care team, helping to create a welcoming and professional experience for every client and patient who walks through our doors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships
  • Managing appointments, enquiries, and client communications
  • Supporting the veterinary team with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Handling payments and maintaining accurate client records
  • Ensuring the smooth running of reception and front-of-house services
  • Working collaboratively with the wider practice team

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working within a veterinary reception or client care role
  • Is confident, organised, and able to manage a busy workload
  • Has excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Is compassionate and understands the importance of providing outstanding care
  • Enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and contributing to the growth of a new practice

Location

Our practice is based in Consett, a welcoming town surrounded by beautiful countryside and scenic routes. The area offers a fantastic balance of convenience and outdoor living, with attractions such as Hadrian’s Wall, Newcastle, and the Lake District all within easy reach.

The practice benefits from:

  • Free onsite parking
  • Nearby amenities including Morrisons and Costa
  • Consett town centre close by
  • Chester-Le-Street approximately 20 minutes away
  • Newcastle approximately 35 minutes away

As we establish the practice, you will have the opportunity to be part of an exciting journey, helping shape the culture and client experience from the very start.

If you are an experienced Veterinary Receptionist looking for a new challenge within a supportive and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
