Job Description
Are you passionate about patient care and a looking for a friendly supportive team? Look no further! An exceptional opportunity awaits you at Bedford Vets for Pets.
Bedford Vets for Pets is a long-established practice that has built a solid and dependable reputation locally with its clients. Our brilliant team culture has played a part in this and as such we have a long-standing team across all roles. We’re now looking for someone to take on all aspects of nursing and help us maintain the strong reputation we have built over the last 19 years.
You’ll be joining a close-knit team of 5 vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 1 VCA, with a team of 5 receptions to support the client journey, freeing our nurses up to carry out their role effectively. We have regular meetings and they consist of vet, nurse or reception meetings as well as practice meetings and various team building activities in- and outside of working hours.
We utilise our nurses to their full potential and are keen to upskill and grow our own talent. Our Head Nurse has been in the team for 16 years and is a nursing ECC holder whilst another Nurse has an ISFM certificate. Practice Owner Nicole holds the GPCert(SAP) and GPCert(SAS) and one of the assistants is looking to complete her internal medicine certificate this year. We want to see our colleagues succeed and enjoy their careers with us, which is why many team members have between 5 and 10 years service.
Our practice provides excellent facilities giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients including laparoscopy equipment and carrying out schedule 3 procedures. You’ll deal with many different species, working up cases thoroughly in house with very regular clinical discussions. We are registered with the Practice Standard Scheme and hold ISFM Silver Cat friendly status.

What We're Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse who is enthusiastic and eager to continue learning and growing professionally.
