Job Description

Keen to make the most of your nursing skills in a practice where your voice is heard?
With a fantastic team to support you whether you’re beginning your career after recently qualifying, or looking to develop your areas of interest, joining Blackheath Vets for Pets might be your answer!

Our well-established practice sees a wide range of clinics and a variety of surgical procedures, so this is the perfect opportunity for someone wanting to broaden their experience.

Practice owner Idara leads the team of experienced and friendly veterinary professionals; all committed to providing the highest level of care. You’ll be joining a great team where everyone plays an important role, and no one feels like “just a number.” Our nurses are central to how the practice runs, with real involvement across all aspects of clinical care from anesthesia and inpatient care to nurse consults, lab work and theatre.

You’ll be joining a hard-working and inclusive team who are passionate about being at the heart of the local community. Based on the Blackheath Road, Blackheath Vets for Pets is committed to providing high quality care via a modern, well-equipped practice that includes laser therapy, digital x-ray and ultrasound, and we run various clinics as well.

You should be a confident, qualified RVN who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care. You’ll bring a positive, proactive approach and enjoy being involved in all areas of the practice, and a willingness to mentor student nurses would also be advantageous.

This is a full-time position covering 40 hours per week and will include 1 in 4 Saturdays.

We can offer you:

  • A competitive salary (DOE, FTE)
  • Supportive and friendly working environment
  • CPD encouraged and funded
  • RCVS/VDS fees paid
  • Company pension scheme
  • Exclusive colleague discounts including 20% off at Vets for Pets, Pets at Home and The Groom Room
  • Convenient location with good transport links and free parking
