Be part of something from the very beginning
Are you a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to help shape a brand-new practice?
We're looking for an enthusiastic RVN to join our new Consett Vets for Pets practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced clinical team, influence how the practice develops, and build lasting relationships with clients from day one.
If you enjoy a varied caseload, modern facilities, and being part of a supportive team that strives for clinical excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As one of our Registered Veterinary Nurses, you'll play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting a wide range of medical and surgical procedures.
Working closely with our experienced Veterinary Surgeons, you'll enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same. From nurse consultations and inpatient care to anaesthesia, theatre, imaging, and Schedule 3 procedures, you'll have the opportunity to fully utilise your nursing skills.
We're happy to consider full or part-time applicants, with flexible working options available for the right candidate.
About the Team
You'll be joining a friendly, hardworking, and supportive team that shares an easy-going approach while maintaining exceptionally high clinical standards.
Our team includes two highly experienced Veterinary Surgeons with interests in surgery and diagnostic imaging. One of our vets is currently completing a Surgery Certificate, further strengthening the advanced clinical services we'll be able to offer from opening.
We're passionate about creating a collaborative practice where everyone is encouraged to develop and contribute.
A Practice Built Around Clinical Excellence
Although we're a brand-new practice, our ambition is clear - we aim to provide as much treatment as possible in-house, offering clients and patients continuity of care and giving our team exposure to an exciting and varied caseload.
You'll have the opportunity to nurse patients undergoing:
- Routine consultations and procedures
- Advanced soft tissue surgery
- Orthopaedic procedures, including fracture repairs and joint surgery
- Complex medical investigations
- Exotic animal cases
Our investment in modern equipment means you'll be working with:
- Digital radiography
- Ultrasound
- In-house biochemistry and haematology
- Full urinalysis
- In-house cytology
- Comprehensive dental equipment
- Dedicated orthopaedic surgical kit
Why Join Consett Vets for Pets?

- A supportive and collaborative working environment
- Flexible working opportunities
- Excellent CPD and career development
- The chance to fully utilise and develop your nursing skills
- Modern, purpose-built facilities with brand-new equipment
