Job Description

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, inclusive and supportive team in our brand-new, modern practice, opened in 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident RVN who enjoys taking ownership of their role within a busy, first-opinion environment. You’ll be joining a team that values clinical quality, teamwork, and continuous development, while also maintaining a genuinely warm and supportive culture.

We’re ideally looking for someone who is comfortable working across a varied caseload, enjoys being hands-on in all aspects of nursing, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient and client care.

Experience in a first-opinion practice is highly desirable, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit clinical team.

About us

We’re a warm, experienced and ambitious team who genuinely enjoy working together and creating a supportive, fun and collaborative working environment.

Our practice is:

  • Cat Friendly Gold accredited
  • A recognised training practice
  • Focused on delivering high-quality first opinion care, with exciting plans to develop further into orthopaedics

We take pride in maintaining a positive team culture where everyone is encouraged to grow, contribute ideas, and feel valued in their role.

The team

You’ll be joining a close-knit team of:

  • 2 Vets
  • 1 Head Nurse
  • 1 VCA
  • 1 CCA
  • Practice Manager

We also invest in development and wellbeing, with ongoing learning including mental health awareness training and a Head Nurse who is a clinical coach with Schedule 3 experience.

The role & caseload

This is a first opinion practice covering a mix of routine cases, with a varied and engaging caseload. The practice is busy on some days and quieter on others, offering a balanced working environment.

Facilities

We’re fully equipped with:

  • Ultrasound
  • Digital X-ray
  • Multi-parameter monitoring
  • In-house laboratory
  • Dental machine
  • Pulse oximetry
  • Doppler

Location

Based in a vibrant, inner-city location in Cheetham Hill, we’re just 10 minutes from Manchester city centre. The practice is on a busy retail park surrounded by shops and eateries including ASDA, Costa, Starbucks, Nando’s, Greggs and more. Free gated parking is available for staff.

The area is lively and multicultural, close to Manchester’s AO Arena and known for its strong community feel.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary up to £29,500 dependant on experience
  • 40-hour week (1 week early / 1-week late rota)
  • 1 in 3 weekends
  • 20% colleague discount in practice
  • Up to 30% discount on own-brand products in-store
  • Birthday off
  • Company pension
  • Regular team lunches and celebrations
  • Colleague of the Month recognition

If you’re looking to join a growing, supportive practice where you can develop your skills and be part of a genuinely friendly team, we’d love to hear from you.
