Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

Full Time – 35 hours a week

We have a 3000 sq. ft, 2 story practice with 5 consult rooms (including a bereavement room), 2 operating theatres, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and full top of the range idexx suite. We have well over 6000 active small animal and exotic clients and are growing all the time. We work together to create a rewarding, productive and enjoyable work environment, offering the best possible care to the pets and owners who visit us.

About you

We're looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who:

  • Is confident in all areas of general nursing
  • Enjoys delivering exceptional patient and client care
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Is compassionate, approachable and genuinely passionate about animal welfare
  • Enjoys supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture
  • Driving license preferred but not essential, as we have access to an ambulance and offer home visits/transfers

You’ll help with the daily running of the practice to ensure a high standard care for Patients and Clients. Nurses are the heart of our practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. You’ll have great communication and organisation skills and take pride in working to a high standard. You will have an interest in and want to learn about, the practice as a business, as well as how to motivate a team to achieve their personal and practice goals. They key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.

About the role

This is a full time role working 35 hours a week over 5 days. Shifts would be 8 hours with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break and include a mixture of earlies and lates between the hours of 7:45am to 7pm. This role will also include 1 in 5 Saturdays 9am – 6pm with a weekday off to compensate.
