Job Description

If you're passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, enjoy working as part of a supportive team, and love helping pets and their owners, we'd love to hear from you. Join our friendly team at our Bournemouth Practice and play a key role in creating a positive experience for every client who walks through our doors.

What you'll be doing

As a Client Care Advisor, you'll be the welcoming face of our practice and an important link between our clients and clinical team. Every day is different, but your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring every client and their pet receives a warm, professional welcome.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, their pets, and your colleagues to create a positive and supportive environment.
  • Ensuring every client leaves feeling valued, well-informed, and confident in the care their pet has received.
  • Greeting clients, processing payments, and managing future appointments with confidence.
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice by using our online booking system and other administrative tools, so good computer skills are essential.
  • Keeping the reception area organised, tidy and inviting.

This is a part-time position, working up to 30 hours per week, including Saturdays. The role requires flexibility to provide additional cover for holidays and sickness when needed. The starting salary is £12.71 per hour.

We're looking for someone who is friendly, organised, and genuinely enjoys helping others. You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy being the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Take pride in delivering excellent customer service and are confident explaining our services and additional products.
  • Remain calm, compassionate, and attentive, even in emotional or busy situations.
  • Bring enthusiasm, positivity, and a genuine passion for both customer care and animal welfare.
  • Can support clients through every stage of their pet's journey—from celebrating a new puppy's first visit to offering kindness and reassurance during more difficult moments.
  • Contribute to a friendly, supportive team culture and help create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who visits the practice.

If you enjoy a varied role, like to stay busy, and take satisfaction in making a real difference to people and their pets, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Benefits

In return, we offer a range of benefits, including:

  • 20% colleague discount at the Vet Group, Pets at Home and the Groom Room
  • Access to a wide range of discounts and cashback offers
  • In-house career development and training opportunities
  • Company pension
  • Holiday allowance
  • Competitive salary

Location: BH9 2EG

We take our inspiration from pets in embracing people from all walks of life, and we value, respect and celebrate difference. We encourage our people to be their best selves so that we can create a better world for Pets, our Planet, and People. Our ambition is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and we are intentional in addressing and removing barriers to create opportunities for the exceptional talent and potential in our communities. Even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
