What you'll be doing…
As a Senior Manager - Program Management, you will manage the development and continuous update of the organization’s innovation vision and strategy in coordination with key stakeholders. The Senior Innovation Manager plays a key leadership role spearheading high-impact innovation initiatives and leading cross-functional teams to drive transformation. Strategy Managers play a pivotal role in shaping the long-term direction and success of an organization.

Building and maintaining a strategic programme for implementing the innovation strategy and ensuring that the resources (people and facilities) needed to deliver the innovation objectives are present.
Revised Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment: Bringing together various stakeholders across
Verizon around shared goals and strategies for intricate projects; partnering closely with cross-functional teams to create, assess, and implement innovative and practical solutions; fostering collaboration among both internal and external stakeholders; working alongside the leadership team to formulate and carry out a strategy for stakeholder engagement alignment.
Investigation and Experimentation: Spearheading contextual research and design experiments to rapidly test assumptions and confirm proposed solutions; perform market analysis and gather customer insights to guide the development of new practices and models; educating others on applying innovative methods to navigate diverse complex problem areas, identify opportunities for enhancement, and lead teams in scaling successful interventions.
Where you’ll be working:
- Develop appropriate metrics to measure the effectiveness (e.g., number of new or improved offerings) and efficiency (e.g., throughput time) of the innovation process
- Develop innovation process documentation and implement staff training programmes
- Align and integrate the innovation strategy with strategic objectives of the organization, including operational and business models, and road maps for products and services
- Define and assess key organizational prerequisites (structure, staffing, etc) for implementing the innovation strategy
- Build and maintain a strategic programme for implementing the innovation strategy and ensure that the resources (people and facilities) needed to deliver the innovation objectives are present
- Maintain an innovation portfolio (consisting of e.g. innovation- or new business development projects)
- Develop alternative business models conducive to innovation
- Initiate relevant market monitoring and foresighting activities, including search for new market opportunities
AI Skillset
Leveraging knowledge of artificial intelligence technologies and algorithms to create and implement AI models and solutions.
Design, enhance, and evaluate high-performing AI solutions to ensure they align with both business requirements and technical specifications.
Promote a culture of ongoing learning and growth, guiding and supporting the team to thrive in sophisticated AI methods.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience in handling Quantitative, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills.
- Program management/ ITIL certifications
- Strong relationship management skills to interface with internal IT leaders, business leaders and external vendors
- Expert in portfolio budget, finance management and tracking
- Knowledge of project management techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of productivity and program management tools/software-eg. Jira, Confluence / Clarity, G Suite, slack , etc
- Quantitative, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of operational and financial performance management measures, including implications for IT and Business strategy.
