The Sr. Director of Product Management, Product Business Development plays a critical role in driving the external partnerships that allow our Product team to create compelling customer offers. This position will lead a team responsible for recruiting third-party partners that complement the Verizon Business portfolio, and managing those partnerships to create winning offers and value propositions for Verizon Business customers, particularly in the Small and Medium Business segment. This team will partner closely with our Product, Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams, and will be a critical component of our product strategy and development.

What you’ll be doing...

  • Partner with our Product Management organization to define our product strategy, and define the strategic partners best suited for our customers.

  • Recruit and onboard strategic third-party partners, creating a win-win-win model that serves our customers, Verizon Business, and our strategic partners.

  • Lead Microsoft Teams partnering strategy and execution - identified as high-growth area for VBG (wireless and wireline)

  • Set customer, product, and business operational metrics for external partners and product teams. Lifecycle manage our strategic partners, ensuring we we meet these objectives.

  • Take an aspirational approach to deliver integrated solutions/bundles that enhance end-user experience, meet quality standards, and adhere to established timelines

  • Provide operational leadership in gathering and utilizing market and customer insights to inform partnership decisions, ensuring solutions/bundles meet market needs

  • Collaborate with Technology Solutions, Engineering, IT, Marketing, customer support and Sales organizations on a detailed level to drive integrations as needed

  • Identify and proactively manage risks associated with product development and delivery, ensuring the team navigates challenges effectively

  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics related to product portfolio, taking corrective actions as needed to meet targets

  • Streamline operational processes within the product development lifecycle, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements

  • Empower and develop the product management team, fostering a culture of operational excellence and accountability

What we’re looking for...

  • 10+ years in Product Management with hands-on experience in working with tech / digital companies and executing partnership deals preferred.

  • SaaS / Cloud experience preferred. Experience with Small Business SaaS solutions preferred.

  • Proven track record of leading product teams in the operational delivery of successful products, meeting deadlines and quality standards

  • Deep market understanding of tech / digital space and demonstrated ability to translate market and customer insights into operational plans that drive successful product outcomes

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless execution across departments

  • Experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated with product development and delivery

  • Track record of establishing and achieving key performance metrics for product portfolios

  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on empowering and developing a high-performing product management team

  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment

  • Willingness to travel as required for the role 25% - 40%

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
