About the role

As a Content Creator, you'll be pivotal in shaping our digital presence and brand voice. Working with the Marketing Manager, you’ll support with shaping a compelling content strategy. You’ll be responsible for producing varied and high-quality content, using various content mediums to portray our message. Using the support of the wider marketing team for visual assets, content creation includes blogs, social media content, campaigns, case studies and video assets. By producing consistent and high-quality content, you’ll help solidify our position as a thought leader in the space, bolster the message of our brand and generate high quality leads.

Social Media

  • You’ll own the social media channels for Valpak and ensure a consistent and varied social media strategy. Content should be a mix of business updates, service posts, industry insights and news.
  • Working with the Assistant Marketing Manager, you’ll produce social media posts that support strategic campaigns, and support with producing targeted paid social ads.
  • Stay up to date with industry news in order to spot relevant articles we can share with our audience.
  • Produce ‘Live’ content where relevant, such as from events and site visits.

Written Content

  • Produce a range of authoritative and knowledgeable written content, such as blogs, case studies and white papers and ensure SEO best practices.
  • Advise the business of upcoming content releases. This includes the marketing team who can support with a launch plan, but also sales and account managers so they can share with their contacts.
  • Turn written content into different mediums such as infographics, videos and social media posts where relevant to ensure maximum engagement and reach on a topic.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to conduct a content audit to map content against the different stages of the buyer journey.

Visual Content

  • Work with the design team, videographer and wider Valpak team to produce engaging visual content such as videos, social media imagery and print/digital ads where relevant.
  • Attend industry events where possible to secure great imagery for social media and post-show wrap ups.

Strategic Email and Webinar Content

  • Working with the wider marketing and sales team, you’ll be a key part of executing strategic email marketing campaigns. You’ll use your content writing skills and industry knowledge to help produce engaging email copy, social posts and other assets to help deliver high quality leads and ROI.
  • Support departments with creating engaging, on brand webinar content. Deliver the marketing aspects of running webinars, ensuring promotion and follow-up communications of these events.
  • Maintain content on the intranet to ensure it is up to date and accurate for all colleague

What we need from you

  • Proven experience within a marketing role or prior knowledge of Environmental Compliance sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong proof-reading abilities
  • Able to use initiative to work independently or with others as required
  • Excellent organisational skills and professional standards
  • Creativity to develop effective strategies and campaigns
  • Ability to form effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders across the group, external agencies, suppliers, and key partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
  • Knowledge of CRM and CMS applications
  • Experience of Adobe Suite design packages desirable
