Job Description

About Unmind

Unmind is a workplace mental health platform. We empower employees to live more fulfilling and balanced lives by changing the way organisations around the world think about mental health. We believe that everyone has the right to a healthy mind – because we all have mental health, all of the time – and we’re striving to create a world where mental health is universally understood, nurtured, and celebrated.

Having closed our Series B funding in April 2021, and looking ahead to our Series C, we're excited about the next stage of growth which will enable us to deliver on our mission to improve the mental wellbeing of ten million people in organisations around the world. We’re a high-performing team with 185 Unminders across London, Sydney and New York and would love to talk to you about our VP of International Sales position.

Uniting Behind Uniqueness

At Unmind we believe in “Uniting Behind Uniqueness” based on the belief that humans are endlessly unique and their opportunities are equally important. In order to fulfil our mission, we want our team to represent the diversity of our users which is why we’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where we encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work. We want to foster a culture where everybody feels included, heard, and equal – regardless of age, disability, gender, neurodiversity, marital or parental status, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.

If there are any adjustments we can make that would help improve your experience with Unmind, please do let us know when you apply or email us at talent@unmind.com.

The Role – VP of International Sales, Enterprise & Strategic

The VP of International Sales is a second line leadership role responsible for our EMEA & ANZ based sales, and sales development teams. The successful candidate will create and execute an Enterprise sales strategy to focus on winning the largest and best known global brands, enabling us to deliver on our mission to improve the mental wellbeing of ten million people in organisations around the world.

We’re looking for a special individual to inspire the existing and future team members, as well as our prospects and clients, with the core elements of the role being the following:

  • Lead: You’ll set the standard when it comes to striking the perfect blend of high performance work ethic to wellbeing. You’ll lead by example, embodying the Unmind values, even when no one is watching.
  • Coach: You will invest a significant amount of time coaching the Account Executives on deals, and being on the frontline with them. You know what great looks like and model this with ease, have a talent for pattern recognition and know how to navigate enterprise sales cycles. You strike the right balance of providing the answers and empowering the team to come to the right conclusion themselves.
  • Operational Excellence: You can coach reps on how to multithread in deals, how to get to the decision maker, and how to constantly evaluate their position in deals using MEDDPICC. You’re able to build and scale a repeatable model that de-risks revenue results. Demonstrable experience in leading an outbound team of Enterprise sellers is essential.
  • Develop: You’re excited to work with the CCO and commercial leadership team to establish a formal training and enablement program that inspires, motivates and develops the team, allowing the function to scale.
  • Nurture: We’ve built a unique sales culture that we’re really proud of and you’ll be responsible for nurturing this, as well as carefully contributing to its evolution.
  • Hire: We have set an incredibly high bar for talent, welcoming people into the team from a diverse set of backgrounds. You’ll have a passion for attracting and retaining top talent and be responsible for hiring many more team members in the quarters and years to come.
  • Collaborate: You’ll create close working relationships with people and teams across the business, with a particular focus on Sales Development, Demand Generation, Client Success and Commercial Operations.
  • Optimise: In partnership with Commercial Operations, you will be responsible for driving efficiencies across every element of the sales process, as well as ensuring the team is leveraging all the tools and systems at their disposal.
  • Deliver: Ultimately, you’ll have ownership of delivering the ambitious growth targets that we have in place, which will get us one step closer to achieving our mission of improving the mental wellbeing of ten million people in organisations around the world.

Requirements

We encourage you to remove education from your CV upon application as qualifications are not a driving factor in our decision making and we are committed to tackling educational inequality. We firmly believe that no one is the finished article and that there should be learning in every role you do. However, some experience in the following is important for this position:

Essential:

Operational Excellence:

  • Strong experience in MEDDPICC, forecasting, territory design, CRM best practice, growth models and four quarter pipeline maintenance.
  • Extensive experience in the B2B SaaS industry with a track record of attainment.
  • Enterprise (£200k+ deal size) sales leadership experience with a strong track record of outbound sales and complex deal structures that require multithreading and selling to the C Suite.

Alignment

  • Close and productive previous working relationships with Marketing and Commercial Operations teams with clear examples of force multiplication you’ve achieved.
  • Strong at giving and receiving feedback. Articulate and direct communicator, both verbal and written– with the confidence to challenge the status quo.

Talent: Recruitment, development and retention

  • Ability to motivate team members, leveraging a coaching mindset.
  • Track record of success when it comes to both hiring new team members and inheriting existing team members.
  • Experience as a regional leader and second line manager

Culture

  • Hungry to make Unmind the global category leader within workplace mental health.
  • A genuine and great human. We have built a special team and want to keep it that way.

Desired:

  • Experience in a start-up/scale-up, as well as a large corporate.
  • Experience of selling into the employee benefits / wellbeing / HR industry.
  • Passion for mental health, tech-for-good, and generally improving people’s lives.
