Customer Marketing Manager

Employment type:  Full time

Job Description

About Unmind

Unmind is a workplace mental health platform. We empower employees to live more fulfilling and balanced lives by changing the way organisations around the world think about mental health. We believe that everyone has the right to a healthy mind – because we all have mental health, all of the time – and we’re striving to create a world where mental health is universally understood, nurtured, and celebrated.

Having closed our Series B funding in April 2021, and looking ahead to our Series C, we're excited about the next stage of growth which will enable us to deliver on our mission to improve the mental wellbeing of ten million people in organisations around the world. We’re a high-performing team with 185 Unminders across London, Sydney and New York and would love you to join us as our new Customer Marketing Manager.

Uniting Behind Uniqueness

At Unmind we believe in “Uniting Behind Uniqueness” based on the belief that humans are endlessly unique and their opportunities are equally important. In order to fulfil our mission, we want our team to represent the diversity of our users which is why we’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where we encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work. We want to foster a culture where everybody feels included, heard, and equal – regardless of age, disability, gender, neurodiversity, marital or parental status, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.

If there are any adjustments we can make that would help improve your experience with Unmind, please do let us know when you apply or email us at talent@unmind.com.

The Role – Customer Marketing Manager

As a company we need strategically-minded thinkers who aren't afraid to break new ground on what is both a fulfilling and rapidly changing industry. Our Marketers are experimenters, writers, strategists, data analysts and creatives. As the Unmind proposition has matured there is a huge opportunity to not only drive retention but upsell our evolving proposition to clients. We need a customer marketing strategy that will drive adoption and growth amongst our growing client base. The right candidate will have a creative mindset, an agile and flexible approach to how we reach our goals, and operate with the autonomy and discipline necessary to help Unmind elevate its growth and client strategy to the next level.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Own the end-to-end Client CRM strategy, introducing trigger logic and sophistication that reduces our manual CSM touchpoints.
  • Develop an ongoing client communications strategy including, for example, our monthly client newsletter.
  • Drive brand consistency across all comms and client assets including, for example, client review decks.
  • Coordinate the design of promotional and campaign material to drive awareness and adoption of Unmind across our partnered organisations.
  • Maintain the Client promotional asset library (Paperflite) and update for new languages, rebrand and product feature changes.
  • Coordinate and oversee client events, like our annual Great Unminds meet-up and Spaces - our community product for users.
  • Build relationships with a multitude of stakeholders across the business: client success, data, product, and design.

Skills and Experience

We encourage you to remove education from your CV upon application as qualifications are not a driving factor in our decision making and we are committed to tackling educational inequality. We firmly believe that no one is the finished article and that there should be learning in every role you do. However, some experience in the following is important for this position:

We're looking for people who are:

  • Have a track record of evidence-based decision-making and strategic thinking
  • Maintain an autonomous and agile way of working that allows you to make quick decisions under pressure
  • Comfortable working in a rapid growth environment, with changing priorities and ways of working
  • An experienced user of an ESP (Email Service Provider), competent with the principles of segmentation and building emails
  • Comfortable owning your own arm of the customer marketing remit and being a champion of your work
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills: you use data to build and improve on marketing strategy
  • An ability to accept undesired outcomes as learnings, and move on quickly
  • Demonstrated experience in briefing a design team, and understanding what excellence looks like in a finished product
  • Have solid understanding of GDPR and its practical implications on CRM and broader Marketing initiatives.
  • Passionate about mental health, tech-for-good, and generally improving people’s lives.
  • Comfortable working in an environment of rapid growth, constant change, and lots of unknowns.
  • Hungry to make Unmind the global category leader of workplace mental health.
