The Role

As a Project Manager you will take full ownership of planning, executing, monitoring and completing major projects that support our Billing Transformation agenda. You will lead each project from concept to completion, maintaining full responsibility for scope, cost, time, risk, quality and stakeholder engagement. Success will rely on your ability to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders, remain composed under pressure and approach delivery programmatically with strong problem-solving capability. You will ensure every project is delivered on time, within scope and within budget while navigating risks, managing resources and maintaining confident and positive stakeholder relationships.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage full scale project plans using effective tools and techniques.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables in close collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Estimate costs across tasks and phases and understand how these align to the overall project budget.
  • Oversee daily project operations to ensure work is delivered in line with governance and established processes.
  • Monitor task progress to drive timely completion and maintain momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track progress against agreed timelines and budgets and take swift corrective action when needed.
  • Identify risks early and manage constraints and dependencies across the project.
  • Apply strong quality controls to ensure all deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including plans, progress reports and meeting records.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with stakeholders and clients to support engagement and satisfaction.
  • Communicate project status clearly and regularly to all stakeholders.
  • Lead cross functional teams by setting clear goals, allocating responsibilities and fostering collaboration.
  • Prepare clear and informative reports for management on project status and performance.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues effectively as they arise.
  • Oversee change control processes and ensure changes are recorded and communicated.
  • Support post implementation reviews and actively contribute to lessons learned.
  • Drive benefits realisation by ensuring plans are tracked and outcomes are captured.

Skills & Experience

Core Skills

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile Scrum and Waterfall.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
  • Skilled in budgeting and resource management.
  • Strong leadership and team management ability.
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capability.
  • Confident using project management tools such as MS Project Planview JIRA Asana or Smartsheet.
  • Good working knowledge of governance risk management and quality assurance.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities within a fast paced environment.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

Experience

  • Proven track record of delivering end to end projects within scope, time and budget.
  • Experience using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management certifications including PMP APM or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
  • Agile certifications such as Scrum Master or SAFe Agilist.
  • Experience in utilities, retail or financial services.
