We're looking for an OT Field Technician (Electrical) to join our Operational Technology team at Lostock Water Treatment Works. This is an exciting opportunity for an electrically qualified professional who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working with cutting-edge industrial technology.

What You'll Be Doing

As an OT Field Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting operational technology assets across our water treatment operations. Your work will help ensure the reliable performance of systems that monitor, control and protect essential services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and supporting plant monitoring, control and automation systems
  • Diagnosing faults and identifying solutions to recurring maintenance issues
  • Supporting SCADA, PLC, telemetry, communications and electronic security systems
  • Working closely with operational teams and work management teams to deliver high-quality service
  • Managing your own workload and priorities in line with business needs
  • Providing progress updates and collaborating with colleagues to ensure successful delivery of work
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Information Security requirements
  • Maintaining a strong customer-focused approach with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the efficient operation of critical operational technology infrastructure

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem solving.

You'll ideally have:

  • A completed Electrical or Instrumentation apprenticeship
  • Experience working with industrial control and automation systems
  • Knowledge of:
    • SCADA systems
    • PLCs
    • Control and automation technologies
    • Remote telemetry systems
    • Wide area communication technologies
    • Electronic security systems including CCTV, IDS and Access Control Systems
  • Understanding of Microsoft and Linux operating systems
  • Confidence working with IT hardware and Microsoft applications
  • Knowledge of Information Security best practice and critical infrastructure environments
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade 5-9/A-C) including Maths
  • A full UK driving licence

Most importantly, you'll be someone who can work independently, build effective relationships and take pride in delivering excellent service.
