- Diagnose faults, carry out effective repairs, and return equipment safely to service.
- Maintain and improve asset reliability through proactive maintenance and root‑cause analysis.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Accurately record asset performance, defects, and repair data within corporate systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support capital and operational projects.
- Manage maintenance activities within agreed budgets where applicable.
- Work independently when required, while remaining an active and collaborative team member.
- Take part in the on‑call standby rota and work in confined spaces when necessary.
What we’re looking for
- A full UK driving licence (a fully equipped company vehicle is provided for travel between sites).
- Time‑served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical discipline.
- Relevant industry experience within mechanical maintenance, engineering, or industrial environments.
- Strong fault‑finding, planning, and organisational skills.
- Hands‑on experience with mechanical assets such as pumps, gearboxes, valves, and rotating machinery.
- A willingness to develop additional skills and support a multi‑skilled maintenance approach.
What you’ll get in return
- A secure role supporting essential Wastewater infrastructure.
- Structured training and development, with opportunities to become multi‑skilled.
- Company vehicle, tools, and technology to do your job safely and efficiently.
- A supportive team culture with clear expectations and professional standards.
- A competitive pay and benefits package, including standby/overtime arrangements and pension.
