Job Description

About us

We’ve grown at an incredibly fast pace since our launch in 2017. We’re the trusted student recruitment partner to more than 600 higher ed institutions in 35 countries worldwide, including the Boston University, University of Southern California, NYU, University of Cambridge, Kings College London, HEC Paris, and Erasmus.

We’ve raised over $33M from top-tier investors, and we’re on course to achieve our mission of empowering 10 million students to make the right choices in their higher ed journey.

Here’s where you come in

We’re looking for a motivated individual ready to join our fast-growing company and jump-start their career in marketing. This is a great role if you’ve recently graduated or are early in your career and you’d like to learn about the different facets of marketing.

This role provides ongoing marketing support to our entire marketing team, with a focus on the Product Marketing function. As a Marketing Executive, you will be working on a variety of projects ranging from customer engagement programs, events, and content creation.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll work directly with our most passionate and loyal customers to shine a spotlight on their experiences using Unibuddy.

  • You will be responsible for developing social proof, including case studies and testimonials. And you’ll lead efforts to expand our reach through our customers, such as referrals and the Unibuddy Champions advocacy program.

  • You will work closely with others in the Marketing team to execute campaigns, launches, events, and experiments.

  • From landing pages to product fact sheets to videos and more, you will help guide how marketing assets ultimately come to life, as well as how we improve upon them.

  • You will become an expert on the higher ed market. You'll support market research, regularly meet with Revenue teams to draw market insights, and learn the competitive landscape to help inform roadmaps, marketing, pricing and more.

  • You’ll specialize in delighting and engaging our customers through educational content, focusing on customer engagement and product adoption.

  • Youʼll get to know our products inside out. You will deeply understand how Unibuddy uniquely addresses customer needs, making it your main goal to express that value in compelling messaging and positioning for external and internal audiences.

  • Youʼll arm customer-facing teams with the messaging, collateral and tools they need to increase demand and accelerate the pipeline.

This might be for you if

  • You may have experience in marketing, customer marketing or advocacy, or a related field.

  • Experience in educational technology is a big plus or you have been a Unibuddy ambassador in your higher-education institution.

  • You are passionate about serving and deeply understanding B2B customers.

  • You are collaborative: you are at ease working with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing stakeholders on a regular basis.

  • You are a good communicator: you are an effective, writer and presenter for a higher-ed audience.

  • You’re analytical: you could research and develop a thorough understanding of Unibuddy customers, their challenges, and how our products uniquely address their needs.

  • You’re organized and can prioritize your work to complete projects and group work to deadlines.

  • You are a strategic thinker that can see beyond the day-to-day grind to help reach marketing and sales goals, create a stronger brand, and improve the customer experience.

  • You are proactive: you’re an active listener who can identify areas of opportunity where you can have an impact and jump on those without having to be assigned the work.

  • You are agile: you are flexible to re-prioritize on the fly without sacrificing attention to detail.

We know that typically some people only apply to jobs if they see themselves checking every box. We believe we’re more than boxes to check. If you don't meet all the requirements but think you might still be right for the role or others, please apply anyway. We're always eager to speak to people who connect with our mission and values.
