Unibuddy

Ed-Tech

#1 peer-to-peer platform for student recruitment, purpose-built for higher ed

Our mission is to provide higher ed marketers and recruiters with the tools to support students when deciding where to study. We understand students shouldn't have to make these decisions alone and want to support them in their decision-making journey.

The FlexScore® is the result of a rigorous 2-step verification of a company’s flexibility

First we assess the flexibility options Unibuddy provides and then we anonymously survey a statistically significant proportion of their employees to make sure Unibuddy is as flexible as they say they are. Our assessment is based on the six key elements of flexibility: location, hours, autonomy, benefits, role modelling and work-life balance.

We ask the hard questions so you don’t have to.

About us

We support higher education institutions worldwide to attract, engage and convert prospective students through peer-to-peer interactions.

Unibuddy was created with students in mind, we believe no one should have to decide on where to study alone and have built a product suite for universities to allow students to connect and support each other.

We understand how the whole university experience changes lives. Through online peer-to-peer connections, we allow prospects, wherever they are, to make the right decision.

Our values: Power to the peers, Hungry to grow, Thrive in the thick of it, Impact over input.

Flexible working at Unibuddy

Being a flexible workplace is huge for us at Unibuddy. We understand our Buddies perform better when given the space to choose not only their working hours but where they work, and we pride ourselves in offering them the flexibility to choose. We have cool, creative campuses (offices) across the world in New York, Bangalore and London, and operate a hybrid (remote and in-office) approach, allowing our team to work autonomously and collaboratively when needed. Most buddies spend 1-3 days on campus a week.

We operate a culture of impact over input. That means we measure ourselves on achieving our goals rather than the number of boxes we tick in a day. Our mantra is to work smarter not harder so we're a super flexible place to work. All our roles can be performed flexibly with respect to both location and hours. As long as we're achieving our goals to a high standard, we don't mind where, when, or how!

We meet regularly. We have budgets for quarterly team socials, summer and Christmas parties where we pay for accommodation and travel for those not located near one of our campuses.

Approach to diversity & inclusion

Our approach to DEI at Unibuddy is about a lot more than meeting numbers. We pride ourselves in being an inclusive company, and we are committed to growing into a much more diverse tech organization.

Our campuses in the US, UK, and Bangalore enable us to welcome Buddies from different ethnic backgrounds, cultures, and sexual orientations. We’re a team of individuals with different interests, ideas, and opinions, and we welcome everyone who joins us to bring their own sauce to our culture, and to the products and services we provide. It’s those differences amongst our Buddies that make our company culture great and drive Unibuddy's success.

We are committed to improving our diversity through our hiring and we are committed to making our company more inclusive by continuously educating our employees on race, gender, and disability, not only to create a better working environment for us, but so that it’s reflected to our community of higher ed professionals and to our customers.
